// About the company
Are you a carrier or a freight forwarder? Do you transport cargo yourselves or look for a truck?
We work both as a carrier and as a freight forwarder, but the foundation of our model is a company-owned fleet of 40+ vehicles and a managed network of trusted partners. This means that for standard and regular tasks we rely on our own resources, and if specific transport, a multimodal scheme, or larger capacity is needed, we involve our partner network. At the same time, the client works under one contract with Asia Trans KZ and has one person responsible for the route.
How many years has the company been on the market, and why can clients trust you?
Asia Trans KZ has been operating since 2005, which means more than 20 years in international logistics. In 2025, we completed 3,920 shipments, work across 35+ countries, handle regular international deliveries, and build routes for B2B clients where not only the rate matters, but also timing, documentation, and control. The company has SQAS, ISO 9001, ADR, and client recommendation letters.
How quickly do you prepare a commercial offer?
For standard routes and clear shipment details, we usually come back with a quotation within the working day, and for many requests even faster. To calculate the route properly, we need to know where the cargo is going from and to, what exactly is being shipped, the weight or volume, the required timing, and whether customs services are needed. If the cargo is complex, non-standard, or involves multiple points, we first prepare a real working solution rather than sending a formal reply.
Will I have one manager, or will it be a different person every time?
The client has one main contact for the shipment request. At the same time, inside Asia Trans KZ the route is not managed by one person alone, but by a team: commercial, logistics, documentation, and support. For the client, this works as one integrated system rather than constant “let me check with a colleague.”
Do you work only with large companies, or also with small businesses?
We work with companies of different sizes, from one-time B2B shipments to regular international flows. If the route and transport format allow it, we can handle both consolidated LTL shipments and full truckload FTL shipments. What matters is not the size of the company, but whether the task is clear in terms of cargo, route, and timing.
// Pricing and payment
How much does transportation from China to Kazakhstan cost?
The cost always depends on the specific route, transport type, weight, volume, cargo type, and timing. We have regular working routes from China, but we only provide an exact figure after receiving proper shipment details. Our position is not to promise “from” prices without understanding the task, but to calculate properly for the specific cargo.
What is included in the price? Will there be extra charges during the shipment?
The rate includes the service scope agreed at the start: transportation, vehicle operation, driver work, and logistics along the route. If customs, insurance, certification, special permits, ADR, or oversized cargo escort are needed separately, these are included in the calculation and agreed in advance. We do not like the model where the price “appears later” after the shipment has already started.
In which currency are invoices issued? Do you work in tenge?
It depends on the route and the deal structure. International transportation is usually quoted in USD or EUR, while transportation within Kazakhstan is quoted in tenge. The exact currency and payment procedure are fixed at the stage of contract and commercial offer approval.
Is a prepayment required? What are the payment terms?
For new clients, the basic model usually includes prepayment, because this involves real resource booking and shipment launch. For regular clients and ongoing routes, the conditions may be more flexible and are fixed separately. Our position here is simple: payment terms are discussed before the shipment starts and are not changed retroactively.
Can cargo be insured? How much does it cost?
Yes, insurance can be arranged at the client’s request. This is especially relevant for high-value, fragile, complex, or sensitive cargo. If insurance is needed, it is better to raise this question immediately when the route and contract are being agreed.
// Routes
Which countries do you deliver to? Are there any restrictions?
Asia Trans KZ works across 35+ countries: Kazakhstan, China, the CIS, Europe, Turkey, and Caspian Corridor destinations. Restrictions depend not so much on the country itself as on the cargo type, route, documentation, and the current logistics situation. That is why any specific route is best calculated with a manager.
How long does cargo from China take? Via Khorgos or Dostyk?
We work through both Khorgos and Dostyk. The choice depends on the cargo’s origin point in China, the current congestion at the border crossings, and the route logic itself. Delivery times from China can differ significantly depending on the city of departure, transport format, and consolidation. Our position is not to promise one single timing “for everything,” but to break the route down according to the real movement scheme.
What is the Caspian Corridor and when should it be used?
It is a multimodal route through Kazakhstan, Aktau, ferry crossing, Baku, and further toward Georgia, Turkey, or Europe. It is used when land routes are overloaded, restricted, or when this scenario is more convenient for the specific shipment task. For the client, this is not a “complicated scheme,” but one turnkey route assembled as a complete solution.
Can you pick up LTL consolidated cargo if I only have a small shipment?
Yes. We arrange LTL consolidated shipments on the routes China to Kazakhstan, Turkey to Kazakhstan, Russia to Kazakhstan, and Europe to Kazakhstan. Your cargo travels together with other clients’ shipments, and you pay only for the space used. Minimum weight starts from 100 kg. Transit times are slightly longer than FTL because of consolidation.
Do you transport from Europe back to Kazakhstan?
Yes, we work in both directions, from Kazakhstan to Europe and from Europe to Kazakhstan. This allows trucks to be loaded both ways and makes pricing more competitive. It is especially relevant for companies that both export and import.
// Customs and documents
Do you handle customs yourselves, or does that need to be arranged separately?
If customs is required on the route, we include it in the overall transportation scheme. Our position is not to separate documentation from logistics, because that is exactly where problems most often arise. It is better to define the customs part already at the quotation stage rather than after the rate has been agreed.
What happens if cargo is задержан at customs?
The client receives information immediately as soon as the issue is confirmed. Then we clarify the cause: documents, cargo description, code, certificates, or additional route requirements. The time needed to resolve the issue depends on the specific reason, but our job is not to hide the problem — it is to get involved quickly and solve it.
Which documents are usually required for international transportation?
Basically, this includes the invoice, packing list, cargo description, and, when required, supporting documents for origin or certification. For road transport, a CMR is issued; for rail transport, the corresponding waybill is used. For chemicals, ADR cargo, and certain special categories, the document package is always broader and must be assembled for the specific route.
Do you work with cargo that requires certification in Kazakhstan?
Yes, we know these tasks well. If the product requires conformity certificates, sanitary, phytosanitary, or other documents, this must be taken into account in advance, before the route starts. The earlier this issue is raised, the lower the risk that the cargo will get stuck on formalities while already in transit.
Do you work with Russian, Belarusian, and other EAEU companies?
Yes. Kazakhstan is part of the EAEU, and this affects both document flow and the movement logic of cargo inside the union. But even within the EAEU, the cargo, route, and commercial scheme still need to be assessed individually rather than assuming everything is “automatically simple.”
// Tracking
How can I find out where my cargo is right now?
There are two working ways. The first is the tracking tool on the website by request number, where the client can see the key shipment status. The second is direct contact with the manager. Our position is that if you need a fast working answer on a specific situation, live communication is always more useful than simply waiting for a formal status.
Do you inform clients about shipment status yourselves, or do I need to ask every time?
If a significant change happens on the route, the client is informed proactively. We try to maintain communication not in the format of “you asked — we answered,” but in the format of proper shipment support. The communication channel is chosen according to what is convenient for the client: WhatsApp, email, or phone.
If there is a delay or a problem, who will notify me?
Your main contact for the shipment request. Inside Asia Trans KZ, information should not be lost between departments — that is exactly why one integrated operational system is needed. For the client, it is important not only to know that something went wrong, but also to immediately receive an explanation and the next step.
Is there temperature control for refrigerated shipments?
Yes. If the route requires a temperature-controlled regime, this is built into the transportation scheme in advance. For such shipments, it is important to define the temperature range, the cargo type, and the proof-of-compliance requirements from the very beginning. This is not something that gets “added later,” but part of the route from the start.
// Special cargo and ADR
Do you transport chemicals and dangerous cargo?
Yes, we work with ADR cargo, but such requests always require separate analysis: hazard class, documents, route, vehicle requirements, and movement restrictions. Our position here is strict: first full planning, then launch. Dangerous cargo cannot be moved “like a regular shipment.”
What is SQAS and why is it important for chemical cargo?
SQAS is an industry audit that is especially important in chemical logistics. For the client, it is a signal that the carrier is assessed not only by price, but also by safety, quality, environmental standards, and working procedures. For some international and chemical companies, this is a real supplier selection criterion.
Do you transport oversized cargo and heavy equipment?
Yes, we organize oversized and heavy cargo transportation, but such routes always require separate preparation: weight, dimensions, equipment type, permits, road restrictions, and, if necessary, escort. Here it is impossible to promise “yes, no problem” without the source data — technical assessment always comes first.
Can you pick up cargo from several suppliers and combine it into one scheme?
Yes, this is a common B2B task. If suppliers are located at different points, the route must be built immediately with all addresses, readiness dates, and the desired result in mind: consolidation, several stages, or one combined shipment. This is exactly the kind of case where strong logistics matters, not just the transport itself.
Can you send certificates and documents for a tender?
Yes. If the procurement team or quality department needs SQAS, ISO, ADR, company details, a presentation, or other standard documents, we can send them as a separate package. It is better to clarify right away what exactly is needed and in which format.
